Meeting for Realizing UN Human Rights Recommendations Held in Japan
Tokyo, December 8 (KNS-KCNA) -- A meeting for realizing the UN human rights recommendations took place in Tokyo, Japan on Dec. 5.

Present there were the teaching staff and students of Korean University and other Koreans in Japan.

Also present there were personages of civic organizations of Japan such as the Liaison Council against the Exclusion of Korean Schools from the Application of the Tuition-waiver Program for Senior High Schools and the Liaison Council for the Law on Human Rights of Foreigners, lawyers and teachers of universities.

The speakers said that the Japanese government is turning its back on the UN recommendations related to human rights such as the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and the issue of exclusion of Korean schools from the application of tuition-waiver program for senior high school.

It has no qualifications to talk about human rights and democracy, to say nothing of the permanent membership of the UNSC as it denies UN recommendations on human rights, they noted, urging Japan to fulfill its duty for improving human rights.

They called for joining the solidarity movement for improving human rights and achieving peace against the crackdown on human rights, freedom and peace.
