S. Korean Authorities Urged to Give up Double-Dealing Tactics
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities are letting loose a litany of rhetoric that it is too early to say about "sincere approach of the north" towards the north-south authorities talks and it is necessary to "wait and see" and its attitude is "skeptical."

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in an article in this regard:

What the south Korean authorities uttered in the run-up to the talks is very improper behavior bereft of elementary etiquette toward the dialogue partner and obstructive to the talks.

There should be a climate for dialogue between the north and the south and improvement of their relations, to begin with. Talking about dialogue only would not help create a climate. Practical action should be taken before talking. The climate for the improvement of the north-south relations means one for national reconciliation and unity and reunification of the country.

The north-south relations have not improved despite of the north's good will, generosity and disinterested efforts mainly because of the double-dealing tactics of the south Korean authorities who are getting frantic with the confrontation racket against the compatriots in the north, while paying lip-service to "dialogue."

The south Korean authorities are chiefly to blame for chilling the atmosphere of dialogue as they are desperately kicking up confrontation rackets in disregard of the agreement on the improvement of the inter-Korean relations reached between the north and the south.

In order to build confidence between the north and the south and defuse confrontation the south Korean authorities should give up collusion and nexus with outside forces aimed to stifle the compatriots in the north, among other things.

They should show their sincerity towards dialogue and improved inter-Korean relations, though belatedly.
