The long history of the Korean revolution and the DPRK's history of building a rich and powerful country are the history of self-reliance.

Our party and people brought about shining victories in the arduous anti-imperialist revolutionary war and rehabilitation and construction, the serious socialist revolution of the two stages and the socialist construction of various stages by turning the Juche idea into tremendous might for struggle and changes. In these periods the Korean people suffered unprecedented hardships and trials but they could enjoy all sorts of honor without precedent in the history of the nation spanning thousands of years. This was possible because they remained true to the principle of self-reliance.

Self-reliance represents the fighting stamina of true revolutionaries who always cover one road under the leadership of our party and the fighting mode of those strong in faith as they are firmly convinced of inexhaustible power of truth proved by the Juche idea.

Although there are manifold difficulties and trials in the way of the revolution, we should travel only one road of Juche, the path of self-reliance to victory and prosperity.

"Let's give fuller play to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance created in the forest of Mt. Paektu!" This is the militant banner to be invariably held fast to and required by the era and the revolution.

The editorial calls on all service personnel and people to more dynamically advance along the road of Juche, the path of self-reliance under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and greet the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea as the great heyday of the revolution.
