Kim Jong Il Praised by Russian Media
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The august name and exploits of leader Kim Jong Il will shine forever along with holy Mt. Paektu.

The Eastern Siberian Publishing House situated in Irkutsk Region of Russia on November 23 posted an article on its homepage under the title of "Mt. Paektu and Kim Jong Il".

The homepage illustrated with the portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il said:

Kim Jong Il was born in Mt. Paektu, a base for the anti-Japanese armed struggle, on February 16, 1942.

He wrote a poem "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee" when he entered Kim Il Sung University.

It reflected his noble will to lead Korea to a bright future, being responsible for it, true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung.

Kim Jong Il glorified Korea as an invincible socialist power, guided by his faith and will.

When the President passed away at a time when socialism collapsed in different countries and the imperialist allied forces intensified their anti-socialist offensive against the DPRK in the closing years of the last century, the international community talked about the policy switchover in it.

At that time Kim Jong Il solemnly declared that no one should expect any change from him and enforced the Songun politics in all fields.

He smashed the imperialists' every anti-DPRK provocative campaign and firmly defended the sovereignty of the country and the nation.

He ushered in the June 15 era of reunification, carving out a bright future of national reunification.
