Pomminryon South Headquarters Calls for Staging Pro-Reunification Patriotic Action
Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) held a meeting in Kyonggi Province on Nov. 28 calling for vigorously staging the pro-reunification patriotic action on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the formation of Pomminryon, according to the south Korean Internet paper Thongil News.

Ri Kyu Jae, chairman of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon, said that the "yusin" dictatorship was revived in south Korea and legitimate activities for peace and reunification are labeled "enemy-benefiting" and "illegal" to be victims of the security law.

Noting that the prevailing situation is calling for strengthening Pomminryon, he underscored the need to make positive efforts to unite broad strata of people aspiring after independence and patriotism under the banner of solidarity among Koreans in the south, the north and abroad.

Ri Chang Bok, permanent representative of the South Side Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration, deplored that the south, the north and abroad failed to jointly commemorate the 15th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation owing to the present regime's behavior.

He called for conducting massive movement to frustrate the moves of the U.S. and Japan to incite confrontation between compatriots in the north and the south, and establish a peace-keeping mechanism
