Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Demise Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries in the period between November 28 and December 1 on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

They included a reading session on his work in Mexico, an opening ceremony of Korean photo, book and art exhibition in Peru, a film show in Algeria and a photo exhibition in Slovenia.

On display at the venues of the events were photos dealing with the exploits of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu, books and photos introducing the history of victory and glory of the DPRK and art pieces associated with the wisdom and talents of the Korean people.

Participants in the film show watched the Korean film "Masikryong Ski Resort".

Present at the events were personages of various circles of the relevant countries and the masses.

The chairman of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism said that Kim Jong Il frustrated all sorts of challenges and aggressive moves of the imperialists, defended socialism and ushered in a new era for building a thriving nation with his Songun politics.

The president of the Peruvian National Independent Movement for Free Voting's Union noted that Kim Jong Il was a great man as he turned the DPRK into a powerful state standing firmly against the U.S.

An official of the General Union of the Algerian Workers praised Kim Jong Il as great statesman and strategist who turned the DPRK into a nuclear weapons state and provided a firm foundation for building a thriving nation.
