Korean People's Cause Supported by Cuban Figure
Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- Luis Enrique Gonzalez, president of Prensa Latina News Agency of Cuba, expressed his will to intensify media activities in support of the just cause of the Korean people when he met Pak Chang Yul, DPRK ambassador to Cuba, on Nov. 23.

Referring to the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation growing stronger recently, the president said:

The DPRK re-clarified its fair and aboveboard stance to replace the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) with a peace treaty at the 70th UN General Assembly.

It was prompted by the desire for defusing the danger of a war and ensuring lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

However, the U.S. keeps shunning this reasonable proposal.

This proves that the U.S. remains unchanged in its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The AA should be replaced with a peace treaty to put a definite end to the vicious cycle of confrontation and tension on the peninsula.

The U.S. should prudently accept the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

The U.S. should roll back its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The U.S. should make a bold decision on the issue of replacing the AA with a peace treaty.

If the peace treaty is concluded between the DPRK and the U.S., this will help settle other problems.

The Cuban news agency will conduct active media activities in support of the just cause of the Korean people and the DPRK's stand.

It will as ever make efforts to develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation with the DPRK.
