Authorities' Human Rights Abuse Assailed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The preparatory committee for a human rights meeting made up of 106 organizations such as the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea, Catholic Human Rights Committee, Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations denounced the south Korean authorities for their human rights abuses on Nov. 26, according to the south Korean newspaper Media Today.

The organization decided to hold a meeting for the people who have been subject to distress and oppression due to the "National Security Law" on the occasion of Dec. 1, its fabrication day.

It declared that the bereaved families of the ferry Sewol disaster, discharged workers of Ssangyong Motors, residents in Milyang, South Kyongsang Province, residents in Kangjong Village, Jeju Province and families of the victims of the case of attempted rebellion will meet to demand genuine human rights and release of the prisoners of conscience.
