Tha Win, secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar, said Kim Jong Il was a peerlessly great man who laid an eternal foundation for victorious advance of the cause of Songun revolution and prosperity of the DPRK with his brilliant ideas and theories and outstanding leadership.

The secretary went on: Under the outstanding and tested leadership of Kim Jong Il, the Workers' Party of Korea developed into a genuine motherly party enjoying absolute trust from the people and a political staff victoriously leading the Korean revolution while the DPRK turned into a socialist state centered on the popular masses.

Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said:

Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader who always victoriously led the party, army and people of the DPRK with his noblest personality and quality as a great man.

Thanks to his Songun politics, the DPRK could demonstrate its might as a political, ideological and military power.

His undying feats will always be remembered by the Korean people and progressive humankind.
