70th Anniversary of Korean Central History Museum Marked
Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- The 70th founding anniversary of the Korean Central History Museum was marked.

The museum is a reliable base of the country for preserving national heritage and powerful center for implanting the Korean nation-first spirit into the minds of the people.

President Kim Il Sung made sure the museum was opened on December 1, Juche 34 (1945) and gave field guidance to it several times to clarify the tasks and ways for the work of the museum.

Leader Kim Jong Il saw to it that the museum was updated, and solved all the problems arising in the museum work and guided the work of discovering the historic relics till the last period of his life.

For seven decades since its establishment the Korean Central History Museum has successfully performed its mission and duty as a base for preserving national heritage, precious historic relics of the country, and center of education for the masses by widely introducing the time-honored history and tradition of the nation under the leadership and deep care of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu.

There took place a meeting to mark the anniversary on Monday.
