S. Korean Regime Accused of Driving Peasants to Death
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Voice of People, south Korean internet newspaper, editorially denounced the south Korean authorities for driving peasants to death on Nov. 25.

The editorial recalled that peasant Jon Yong Chol lost his life after his skull was fractured by riot police's club and shield while participating in the "national rally of peasants" held in Youido, Seoul on Nov. 15, 2005 in protest against the "National Assembly's" ratification of the negotiations on rice.

After a decade since then peasant Paek Nam Gi was hit hard by water cannon firing by riot police for giving vent to his anger at the present regime keen on importing American rice, it added.

The editorial accused the present regime of suppressing peasants' actions demanding the right to existence after branding them as "terrorism."

It termed the present regime a traitorous regime as it seeks its own interests by selling rice which is like life and soul of the nation and a man-killing regime which does not hesitate to kill the peasant opposed to it after branding him as an "enemy."
