Brazilian Political Figure Supports Conclusion of Peace Treaty between DPRK and U.S.
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Rosanita Campos, vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, dedicated a statement to the Brazilian paper Hora do Povo on Nov. 18.

The Korean peninsula is still technically at war due to the Armistice Agreement concluded in 1953, the statement noted, and went on:

The conclusion of a peace treaty is the best way for putting a final end to the Korean War which saw ceasefire in 1953 in the light of the interests of the international community which hopes for regional peace and does not want a war.

The armistice agreement was not concluded between the north and the south of Korea. Therefore, the peace treaty must be concluded between the DPRK and the U.S.

However, the U.S. is not willing to conclude the peace treaty for the purpose of carrying out its strategy for dominating the Korean Peninsula, a world strategic region.

It is persisting in provocations, threat and economic sanctions against the DPRK.

The DPRK is left with no option but to bolster up its war deterrent for ensuring the defense, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country as long as the U.S. and its allies' hostile acts persist.
