The Osoksan and Onchon granite mines and the Ryonggang County Building Stone Mine have been taking the lead in boosting the production this year.

They have produced tens of thousands square meters of processed granites and building stones for the construction or remodeling of edifices, including the Mirae Scientists Street, Sci-Tech Complex, Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and Central Zoo.

On the basis of modernization of equipment, they are paying deep attention to raising the cutting rate of granite while introducing new blasting methods in production.

In particular, the Onchon Granite Mine upgraded processing machines, thus doubling the production than ever before.
