U.S. Does Not Want to See Peace and Reunification in Korea: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- A high-ranking official of the U.S. Department of State at a recent briefing at the foreign press club in Washington uttered that the U.S. would neither help nor encourage the use, purchase and stockpiling of anti-personnel mines in the world except the Korean Peninsula, reiterating the will to work hard to strengthen alliance with south Korea and "defense." It is the long-standing commitment, and, therefore, the U.S. will sustain it in the future, too, he added.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Monday observes:

This means the U.S. intention to use those mines on the Korean Peninsula at any cost, a revelation of its ulterior motive of disturbing peace and reunification and seeking permanent division of the peninsula.

The U.S. claims that the continued use of anti-personnel mines is for "defense," but this is nothing but sophism.

The U.S. is mulling igniting a war against the DPRK through a surprise preemptive attack, while watching for an opportunity. The U.S. has already deployed MRAPs in the area along the Military Demarcation Line for paving the way for invading the north any time.

It has already been brought to light that the U.S. does not want peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula but seeks permanent division of the Korean nation and war against the DPRK and domination over the world.

The DPRK has already warned that it is ready to react to any form of war including a nuclear war if the U.S. wants it and wipe out the invaders to the last man. The U.S. authorities would be well advised to think twice over this, if they have normal way of thinking.

The U.S. should withdraw its aggression troops from south Korea without delay if it wants to escape the merciless retaliatory strike from the powerful Paektusan revolutionary army of the DPRK.
