Indian Body Hails DPRK Proposal for Concluding Peace Treaty with U.S.
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association made public a statement on Nov. 17 denouncing the U.S. for shunning the DPRK's fair and aboveboard proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

The statement said:

The All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association condemns the U.S. for its impudent behavior of turning a deaf ear to the DPRK's proposal for defusing the danger of a war and achieving durable peace by replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty.

The conclusion of the peace treaty would help defuse the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula and achieve national reunification, the desire of the Korean people.

We demand the U.S. stop disturbing the Korean people in their efforts to avert military clashes which may spark a big disaster on the peninsula and put an end to confrontation.

The U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK is the main factor of bringing the danger of a nuclear war to Asia.

We are convinced that a peace treaty between the DPRK and the U.S. would only guarantee peace and security in Asia.
