He said:

The 70th birthday of the WPK was one of the greatest holidays for the Korean people this year.

The Korean people defeated the U.S. imperialists in the Fatherland Liberation War and have made great progress in all fabrics of society such as realization of socialist industrialization and enforcement of free education and health care system despite the U.S. ceaseless nuclear blackmail and economic sanctions, consecutive years of natural disasters, collapse of socialism in the former Soviet Union and the East European countries and other unspeakable difficulties and challenges over the past 70 years under the leadership of the WPK.

The WPK has made great contributions to the development of international working-class movement and rendered unsparing support and solidarity to the progressive people in their anti-imperialist struggle.

There took place a military parade and public procession of Pyongyang citizens in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the WPK at Kim Il Sung Square in the centre of Pyongyang City on Oct. 10.

Marshal Kim Jong Un made a very meaningful address at that celebration.

The writer recalled that delegations of the Communist Part of China (CPC), the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the party and government delegation of Cuba took part in the celebrations for solidarity with the Korean revolution and that Kim Jong Un received the CPC delegation.
