Mikhail Panchenko, general secretary of the alliance, and Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, were elected co-chairmen of the committee.

The committee decided to organize significant political and cultural events including a seminar on the exploits Kim Jong Il performed for the human cause of independence.
