DPRK's Proposal for Peace Treaty Supported by Nigeria
Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian government sent a note to the DPRK embassy in Abuja on November 6 in support of the proposal of the DPRK government for replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.

The note in the name of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry said that Nigeria takes a particular note of the stand of the DPRK government on replacing the Korean Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty in order to defuse the danger of the outbreak of a war on the Korean Peninsula and create lasting peaceful environment. It went on:

The Nigerian government has always supported all the proposals of the DPRK government for ensuring lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.

From this viewpoint, the Nigerian government appreciates the proposal for concluding a peace treaty between the DPRK and the U.S. made by the former on October 17, 2015 as a very important and aboveboard one.

It will positively support the proposals of the DPRK for ensuring lasting peace and security not only on the Korean Peninsula but also in Northeast Asia and achieving bigger economic progress.
