U.S. Does Not Want Peace in Korea: Russian Paper
Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- The Russian newspaper Tribuna on Nov. 6 carried an article "U.S. does not want peace in Korea" disclosing the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

Noting that the U.S. at the 70th UN General Assembly rejected the proposal of the DPRK for concluding a peace treaty, the article went on:

This reveals the aggressive and undemocratic nature of the U.S. politics.

The U.S. stand is that it would meet the demand of the DPRK for talks for concluding a peace treaty only when the latter dismantles missiles and nuclear weapons first and changes its socio-political system.

The DPRK has proposed concluding a peace treaty several times.

Countries concerned have tried to cooperate in the peace process on the Korean Peninsula, but in vain.

The U.S. turned down all the proposals while further escalating the tension on the peninsula.

It is as clear as noonday that if a clash breaks out in the area along the Military Demarcation Line, it will spill over into an uncontrollable all-out war.

In order to put a definite end to the evil cycle of confrontation and tension it is essential to replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty before anything else. This is the conclusion drawn by the DPRK.
