Egyptian Personage Supports DPRK's Stand on Peace
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- We fully support the stand of the DPRK to defuse tension of the Korean Peninsula which may spark a war and achieve peace.

Deputy Editor of Egyptian paper Al Massae Rifat Khalid said this in an article on Nov. 5 in support of the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

Peace guarantees people's security and prosperity and development of country, the article said, and went on:

The DPRK Foreign Ministry in a recent statement re-clarified the stand to replace the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.

The statement said that there are two options for ensuring lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula: one is for the DPRK to bolster self-reliant defence capability and the other is for the U.S. to give up its hostile policy toward the DPRK and affirmatively respond to concluding a peace treaty with it.
