S. Korean Body Condemns Japan for Seeking Reinvasion of Korean Peninsula

| Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- At least 70 civic and public organizations of south Korea including the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy held a press conference on Nov. 2 at which they condemned Japan for seeking reinvasion of the Korean Peninsula. The organizations accused the Japanese government of seeking the advance of its forces into the peninsula without making any apology for the past crimes. Japan is paving the way for the "Self-Defense Forces" to advance into the peninsula anytime by rounding off legal preparations for backing the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense", far from apologizing for Japan's colonial rule over Korea, the organizations charged. They warned the "government" that if it allows Japan's reinvasion of the peninsula, it would face a stern judgment by history. |
