Proper Solution to Issue of Sexual Slavery for Imperial Japanese Army Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea issued a commentary on Nov. 2 condemning the Japanese and south Korean authorities for their base attitude towards the issue of Japan's liquidation of its crimes, according to Thongil News, an internet paper of south Korea.

The commentary recalled that at the talks that day the chief executives of south Korea and Japan "agreed to accelerate" negotiations for the "earlier solution to the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army."

The principle of settling the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army asserted by the council is the Japanese government's admission of state and legal responsibility, apology and reparation for the past crimes for aggression, it noted.

It urged the Japanese and south Korean regimes to properly settle the issue of sexual slavery.
