Distortion of History Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The Ulsan Citizens Measure Committee to Check "State-compiled" History Textbook of south Korea held a candlelight rally in protest against the authorities' moves to introduce "state-compiled" history textbook on Oct. 30, according to south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News.

The speakers said that they can never entrust the compilation of history textbook to pro-Japanese elements, calling for checking the authorities' moves to introduce "state-compiled" history textbook without fail.

Members of the Teachers Union also called for fighting against the Ministry of Education and the "government."

Students of Ulsan City posted wall-papers denouncing the "state-compiled" history textbook in the compounds of their universities and staged demos in different places of the city.
