On display are more than 1 000 pieces of men's and women's Korean dresses and seasonal dresses such as casuals, gala dresses, wedding dresses and children's dresses presented by technicians and skilled workers of factories and enterprises in the field of garment industry and tailor's shops, teachers, researchers and students of the educational and scientific research institutions and members of the women's union.

Present at the ceremony were Jo Yong Chol, minister of Food and Consumer Goods Industries, Choe Il Ryong, minister of Light Industry, Kim Kyong Nam, minister of Commerce, and Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, who doubles as vice-chairmen of the Korean Dress Society, officials concerned, officials, scientists and technicians, workers who presented their products to the show and members of the women's union.

The participants looked round the show.

A fashion show took place at the ceremony.

The show will involve a workshop on the advantages of Korean dresses, features of their varieties, methods of tailoring and making Korean trousers and jackets and distribution of literature on garment technology.

The show will last till Nov. 6.
