Displayed there were more than 1 500 science and technology successes including sports apparatuses, measuring appliances, medicines, books and papers presented by the sports field, scientific and research institutions, educational organs, factories and enterprises.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials concerned and officials in the sports field, and working people.

Kim Yong Hun, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, made an opening address.

The participants looked round science and technology successes on display.
