Japanese Personages Meet
Tokyo, October 30 (KNS-KCNA) -- A meeting of personages of solidarity organizations in Japan who visited the DPRK took place on Oct. 29 in Tokyo.

Present there were Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, Kenichi Ogami, secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea (IIJI), Kenki Nakamura, chairman of the Japan-Korea Society for Scientific and Educational Interchange, Yanagisawa Tukuji, deputy chief director of the Japan-Korea Cultural Interchange Association, Seizaburo Ekuchi, representative of Tokyo-Pyongyang Rainbow Bridge, Takao Kamakura, director of the IIJI, Kazuyoshi Hishiki, professor emeritus of Hiroshima Shudo University, and other representatives of solidarity organizations in Japan.

Present there on invitation were So Chung On, director of the Department for International Affairs and Reunification of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), leading officials of Chongryon organizations and enterprises, Chongryon officials, and personages of solidarity organizations and educational and media circles of Japan.

The representatives of solidarity organizations in Japan made speeches.

They said that their participation in the celebrations of the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and visit to different places in the DPRK provided them with an opportunity to know well about the spirit of the Korean people who are pushing ahead with the building of a thriving socialist nation full of confidence, single-mindedly united around Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The DPRK is dynamically advancing socialism centered on the popular masses in which they have become genuine masters of the state and society, they stressed.

A video introducing the exchange of students of the two countries was shown at the meeting.
