The U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and the south Korean army staged large-scale joint naval maneuvers in the East Sea of Korea from Oct. 26 to 29. Involved there were five warships including U.S. nuclear carrier Ronald Reagan, and at least 20 warships including Aegis destroyers, P-3 sea patrol planes and other planes of the south Korean army.

They staged frantic anti-warship warfare, anti-aircraft warfare, anti-submarine warfare, anti-mine warfare, operation training of anti-special warfare unit, landing operation training, etc. under the pretext of "improving joint defense capability"

This is a revelation of the south Korean warmongers' dangerous scenario to deliberately aggravate the situation on the Korean Peninsula, stem the trend of the north-south reconciliation and realize their ambition for invading the north at any cost in league with foreign forces, the commentary says, and goes on:

The inter-Korean relations witnessed the repetition of the evil cycle of failure of dialogue and escalating confrontation in the past entirely because the south Korean authorities committed reckless saber-rattling against the DPRK in conspiracy and league with foreign forces.

The south Korean military warmongers' persistent military provocations are aimed to chill the atmosphere of improving inter-Korean relations and derail the process of implementing the north-south agreement.

The inter-Korean relations are now standing at crossroads.

Whether the agreement will lead to dialogue and cooperation or not entirely hinges on the attitude of the south Korean authorities.
