Wreaths Laid before Friendship Tower
Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the Friendship Tower on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers into the Korean front.

Present at a wreath-laying ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kang Ha Guk, minister of Public Health who double as chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Kim Hyong Ryong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, Kim Kwang Hyon, vice-minister of People's Security, officials concerned and working people in the city.

Also present were Zhang Chenggan, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese embassy here, and his embassy officials, a delegation of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China led by Minister Li Liguo, Chinese guests staying in the DPRK, Chinese students and Chinese residents in the DPRK.

A wreath in the joint name of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet was laid before the tower.

Placed there were wreaths in the names of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces. Ministry of People's Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of External Economic Relations, Ministry of Culture, Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the C.C., the DPRK-China Friendship Association, the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Pyongyang City People's Committee, the Chinese embassy here, the delegation of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China and the C.C., the Federation of Chinese Residents in Korea.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers r.

On the same day, wreaths were laid before cemeteries and graves of the CPV martyrs in Hyongjesan District, Anju City, Hoechang and Onsong counties and other places.

Meanwhile, there took place an inaugural ceremony of the cemetery of the CPV martyrs rebuilt in Kaesong City that day.

Wreathes were laid before the cemetery in memory of the CPV martyrs.
