Koryo Celadon Ceramics
Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- The ceramics of Koryo celadon, which is well known over the world, was listed as one of the national intangible heritages in the DPRK.

Kim Myong Sim, section chief of the Korean Folklore Museum, said the jade green Koryo celadon is taking a prominent position in the world history of ceramic workmanship for its peculiar color, shapes and patterns.

Im Hye Ok, a ceramist of the Mansudae Art Studio, said:

It is admirable that our ancestors brought out jade green through the reducing reaction of iron when baking ceramics.

Koryo Celadon is also characterized by its soft elegance and diverse shapes.
