S. Korean Authorities Accused of Tightening Military Nexus with Japan

Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and other civic and public organizations of south Korea held a press conference outside the building of the Defense Ministry on Oct. 20 to protest against the authorities' closer military cooperation with Japan.

Speakers accused the authorities of seeking closer military cooperation with Japan after allowing Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense", far from containing it at the grave juncture when Japan is working hard to attain its goal of reinvading the Korean Peninsula.

They staged a demonstration, holding slogans.

They held a meeting for peace action and distributed publications disclosing the danger of Japan's exercise of the "right to collective self-defense."
