Distinguished Woman Runner of DPRK

| Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Son Hui, a woman runner of the Chongchongang Sports Team in the DPRK, rose to fame for having won four gold medals in two international games this year. Kim came first in the 1 500m and 5,000m races of the 2015 Chinese Taipei Track and Field Tournament in May and in the 5,000m and 10,000m races of the 2015 Vietnam International Track and Field Tournament in August. She also took the first place in the 1,500m and 5,000m races of the Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games held here in April. She began training running at the age of nine. She is now a domestic champion in the 5,000m and 10,000m races. |
