Wangjaesan Revolutionary Site
Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Wangjaesan Revolutionary Site is located in Onsong County, North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

The revolutionary site was built in October Juche 64 (1975), the 30th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, under the guidance of leader Kim Jong Il in order to convey the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

In March 11, 1933, Kim Il Sung led a unit of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army to climb Mt. Wangjae after crossing the tightly-guarded border River Tuman. There he convened a meeting of chiefs of underground revolutionary organizations and political workers in the Onsong Area, at which he delivered a speech "To Spread and Develop the Armed Struggle into the Homeland".

The site is a sacred place of the Korean revolution where Kim Il Sung laid down a strategic line on expanding the anti-Japanese armed struggle into the homeland and aroused all Koreans to the victory in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
