WPK's Birthday Celebrated in Different Countries
Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

They included meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Nigeria, Sweden and Finland from October 6 to 8.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un performed by building and leading the WPK.

Also on display there were books and photos introducing the achievements made by the service personnel and people in the DPRK in building a thriving socialist country.

Korean films were screened at the film shows.

Alhassan Mamman Muhammad, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, said that the WPK led the Korean people to victory as the guiding force of the Korean society for the past 70 years. He went on:

The exploits Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed in party building and activities are shedding their rays thanks to Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, praised the WPK as an invincible revolutionary party which is taking its root deep into the working people and enforcing the unique politics on the basis of rich experience.

Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, expressed his will to conduct a more positive movement for supporting the just struggle of the WPK and the Korean people.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events.
