Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader", was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events for giving wide publicity to his noble revolutionary career and immortal feats.
