DPRK's Important Days Marked in Mexico, Guinea

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea released bulletins on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 89th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

The Mexican body on September 28 in its bulletin carried an article titled "Invincible WPK" which praised the exploits President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed by building the party into the veteran and experienced revolutionary party, invincible and iron-willed party.

The Guinean body in its bulletin on October 13 carried an article titled "Historical roots of WPK".

The article said:

The formation of the DIU on October 17, 1926 was a historical event of special significance in the destiny of the Korean people and the modern history of Korea. This provided the roots of the WPK, the guiding force of the Korean society.

The programme of DIU based on the transparent ideal of independence against imperialism became the foundation of the programme of the WPK.
