Greetings to Kim Jong Un from General Secretary of C.C., Communist Party of India (Marxist)
Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a message of greeting from Sitaram Yechury, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), on Oct. 7.

In the message he extended warm greetings to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to all members of the Workers' Party of Korea and the people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The organizational and ideological foundation for founding the WPK was provided and developed during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle under the leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the message noted, adding:

We are proud of the protracted, arduous and heroic struggle waged by the Korean people to liberate the country from the occupation by the Japanese imperialists under his leadership.

But the imperialists persist in the moves to divide the Korean people till now.

The moves and intrigues of the imperialists, the U.S., in particular, to bring down the socialist system in the DPRK still remain unchanged.

Over the seven decades since its founding the WPK has not only successfully checked and frustrated all moves of the imperialists on the basis of accumulated revolutionary experience but taken important steps for further consolidating the gains of socialism in the DPRK.

We are convinced that the WPK will make greater achievements in socialist construction in the DPRK under your leadership.
