Koreans in China Celebrate WPK's Birthday

| Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China was held at the DPRK embassy in Beijing on Oct. 5 to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. Paek Kyong Hyon, chairman of the association, and its officials and members attended it. The participants laid a floral basket before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il at the embassy and made bows to them. They saw displayed photos dealing with the feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and those documenting the revolutionary activities of Marshal Kim Jong Un. A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting. The participants watched a Korean film dealing with the feats of Kim Il Sung. |
