Kim Yong Nam Meets Lao, Vietnamese Party Delegations
Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, had friendly talks respectively with a delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party led by Chansy Phosikham, secretary of its Central Committee and chairman of its Organization Committee, and a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Ha Thi Khiet, secretary of its Central Committee and director of its Mass Movement Department, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Sunday.

Ha Thi Khiet said that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and countries provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung are given steady continuity even in the complicated international situation.

The achievements made by the Communist Party and people of Vietnam are associated with the disinterested support of the Korean comrades, he noted, adding that the Vietnamese people always remember this and would invariably boost the friendship and solidarity with the Workers' Party of Korea and people of the DPRK.

He wished the WPK and people of the DPRK greater success in building a thriving nation under the wise guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Chansy Phosikham referred to the friendshiply and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by Kaysone Phomvihane and Kim Il Sung.

He expressed thanks to the party, government and people of the DPRK for their active support to the Lao people's struggle for national salvation and socialist construction in the past.

The visit to the DPRK provided him an opportunity to know well about it, he said, hoping that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties, states and peoples would boost grow strong as the days go by.
