Korean Stamp Show Opens
Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- A Korean stamp show "70 years of victory and glory" was opened with due ceremony at the Korean Stamp Exhibition Hall on Wednesday in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Displayed in the hall was a photo of a stamp carrying the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

On display there were stamps dealing with the exploits performed by Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un for party-building, the lines and policies laid down by the WPK in every period and at every stage of the developing revolution for the past seven decades and the achievements made by the service personnel and people of the DPRK in their struggle to carry them out.

Also displayed there were varieties of stamps presented by philatelists in Pyongyang.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Kwang Chol, minister of Posts and Telecommunications, officials concerned, creators, philatelists and other working people.

Present there were foreign diplomatic envoys, officials in charge of cultural and friendly relations of foreign embassies here.

Ho Song Gil, director of the State Stamp Bureau, made an opening ceremony.

The participants looked round the stamps on display.
