DPRK's October Holidays Marked in Myanmar, Ethiopia
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- Events took place in Myanmar and Ethiopia in celebration of the 18th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 70th anniversary of its founding.

They included a meeting and a film show in Yangon, Myanmar, seminars by branches of the Ethiopian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and round-table talks at hospitals of Ethiopia on Sept. 28 and 29.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos documenting the undying exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were books and photos introducing the glorious history of the WPK.

Participants of the film show watched Korean films "Songdowon International Children's Camp" and "Masikryong Ski Resort."

Tin Tin Moe, member of the Central Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar who is member of the Executive Committee of the Yangon Regional Committee of the party, said that under the guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il the WPK led the Korean revolution to victory, firmly defending the dignity and sovereignty of the country, adding it developed into the party with strong sense of organization and discipline and the mother party giving top priority to the people's interests and taking care of their destiny.

The WPK led by Kim Jong Un would successfully perform its mission and role as the headquarters of the Korean revolution and guide the Korean people to final victory, he stressed.

The chief of a branch of the Ethiopian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism noted that the invincible might of the Korean People's Army would have been unthinkable apart from Kim Jong Il.
