The director general of an Angolan newspaper was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to pay tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who performed great exploits for the cause of the working class for the revolutionary party-building and hold diverse events including film show, photo exhibition, lecture and round-table talks on the occasion of October 10.
