Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, said this in a statement on September 23 on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.

He went on:

The 70 year-long history of the WPK is a glorious one as it has turned the DPRK into a socialist power and led the cause of human independence to brilliant victory.

Leader Kim Jong Il invariably regarded the Juche idea as a guiding idea and led the WPK to successfully perform its mission and role as a guiding force of the Songun cause.

The WPK having Marshal Kim Jong Un at its top post has honorably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country by resolutely frustrating all sorts of challenges and moves of the imperialists and waged a dynamic drive for building a thriving socialist nation.

Wishing the WPK greater success, we assure it that we would invariably support the just cause of the Workers' Party and people of Korea.
