Korean Books Donated to Russia
Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- A ceremony for donating Korean books to Russia took place at Far Eastern State University of Russia on September 24.

Present at the ceremony were figures of the mission of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Vladivostok, Maritime Territorial National Library Named after Maxim Gorky and the university and masses and officials of the DPRK mission in Nakhodka.

Korean books were handed over.

They included works of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and books introducing the socio-politics, history and culture of Korea.

The acting representative of the mission of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Vladivostok said:

Significant this year is the year of Russia-DPRK friendship.

Mutual cooperation and exchange are energetically pushed forward in many fields of the two countries including politics, economy, culture, education, arts and sports.

The current ceremony will serve as an important occasion for developing the relations of cultural cooperation between the two countries.

We wish the Korean people great success in building a thriving socialist nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the idea and cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The curator of the library noted that the donated books would help the Russian people know better about the DPRK. He expressed the conviction that the Russia-DPRK friendly relations would grow stronger in all fields.
