DPRK Table Tennis Players Bag Medals at International Games
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The first Far East sports festival of Asian countries took place in Khabarovsk from Sept. 17 to 20.

The festival brought together more than 150 excellent men and women players of various universities from the DPRK and other countries.

The Korean table tennis players bagged four gold medals, five silver medals and one bronze medal, thus coming first in the country standings.

Kim Hyok Ju won a gold medal in men's single, Kim Hyok Ju and Jo Chang Hyok a gold medal in men's doubles and Jo Chang Hyok and Choe Mun Hyang a gold medal in mixed doubles.

Finishing runner-up in women's single and in men's single were Choe Mun Hyang and Jo Chang Hyok. O Sam Mi and Choe Mun Hyang came second in women's doubles and Kim Hyok Ju and O Sam Mi also second in mixed doubles while O Sam Mi placed third in women's single.

The Korean players came first in men's group standings and second in women's group standings.

They returned home Saturday.
