Present there were the president and teachers and students of the university and the DPRK ambassador to Algeria and staff members of his embassy.

The photo of Kim Il Sung receiving the honorary doctorate of the university on May 27, 1975 during his official visit to Algeria was conveyed to the president of the university.

He said:

It is the greatest honor and fortune for all the teachers and students of our university to display the photo of President Kim Il Sung receiving the honorary doctorate.

This photo will be conveyed to posterity as the most precious historical document of our university.

We will as ever make positive efforts to boost the friendly and cooperative relations and reenergize academic exchange with the Korean people and universities including Kim Il Sung University, in particular.
