Those of Kim Chaek University of Technology completed aid systems for the training of paddlers and wrestlers on a higher level, while Pyongyang University of Computer Science developed a program helpful to working out a training plan according to the physical fitness of athletes.

Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry established a method for designing and manufacturing sportswear suited to sportspersons' figures and athletic features and Korea University of Physical Education made it possible to put the guidance over training of weightlifters on a scientific and IT basis.

Scientists of the State Academy of Sciences developed a strength-measuring instrument helpful to evaluating sportspersons' capabilities and improved indoor athletic training aids.
