The base moves of the U.S. chilling the atmosphere of mending the inter-Korean relations and escalating the tension on the Korean Peninsula are sparking off bitter resentment of Koreans, the statement said, and went on:

If the U.S. interference and obstructions are left intact, the north-south relations can never be mended.

The Regional Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification strongly condemns the U.S. moves against the DPRK and demands the U.S. forces be withdrawn from south Korea at once.

The south Korean authorities should stop at once the foolish act of endangering the inter-Korean relations and laying obstacles in the way of implementing the agreement through confrontation racket contrary to the desire of all Koreans.
