The tournament brought together more than 100 players from Pyongyang and Nampho cities and each province. Divided into body-weight and catch-weight events they competed in knockout matches.

Nam Hyon Il from North Hamgyong Province came first in 55 kg category body-weight event, Pak Chol Ryong from South Hwanghae Province in 60 kg category event, Kim Tae Il from Kangwon Province in 65 kg category event, Ri Chol Yong from Pyongyang City in 70 kg category event, Jang Hyon U from Pyongyang City in 75 kg category event and Kim Song Jun from Pyongyang City in 80 kg category event and Pak Kwang Chol from Pyongyang City in above 80kg category event.

Pyongyang City placed first in team standing.

Jo Myong Jin from North Phyongan Province came first in the catch-weight event.

At the closing ceremony a grand bull weighing 1 100kg, a gold bull bell and diploma were awarded to Jo Myong Jin.
