The founding of the DPRK marked a historic event as it brought about a fundamental turn in hewing out the destiny of the Korean people.

Since then the Korean people, once exploited and oppressed, appeared masters of the country.

The DPRK was founded on the basis of the Juche idea of Kim Il Sung that popular masses are the masters of the revolution and construction and they are capable of promoting the revolution and construction.

Leader Kim Jong Il developed in depth this great Juche idea as a guiding idea of the era.

The DPRK has achieved great successes and prosperity in all fields including politics, economy and culture, guided by the Juche idea and made dynamic progress despite storm and stress when the eastern European socialist countries collapsed late in the last century.

I am sure that the heroic Korean people will win a brilliant victory in the struggle for building a thriving nation and achieving national reunification without fail under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
