The president in his message expressed deep thanks for Kim Jong Un's congratulations on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

The message went on:

I know well about the true sentiment and firm stand of Your Excellency supporting our people in their struggle against the outrageous war to infringe upon the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and the security of the people.

I feel grateful to Your Excellency for expressing conviction of the strength of our army and people to combat terrorism and hostile forces behind it and highly appreciate your noble stand of supporting our cause of justice and hoping that our country will overcome trials.

Availing myself of this opportunity, I express belief that the ties between the peoples of the two countries and our joint struggle for several decades will grow stronger. I assure you that we will continue to make joint efforts for developing the special relations between the two countries in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.

I wish Your Excellency good health and happiness and your friendly people well-being, stability and prosperity.
